I've been blogging in my head for months! Time to get these thoughts to text!
Lots of EXCITING things have happened and are in the works!
Art and jewelry classes were alot of FUN! Tons of CREATIVITY and LAUGHTER flowing through the salon, I LOVE it !!!

All classes are done untill the EXPANSION is completed! YES!! I did say EXPANSION! God is so good! As I am writing there is a hole being cut through the lobby in the salon! I just signed the lease for the space next to me! Not sure on the exact date that side will be up and running, the front will be a consignment boutique for high quality local talent, and the back is approx 500 sq feet for the ART CLASS ROOM!!!! WOW!!! Previous room was about 10x10!!!!!
Why do I ever doubt, even for a second?
Ughh its that human nature of mine, I'd like to blame it on being conditioned by society but it's just my heart! I like to pretend my heart is this BEAUTIFUL red GLITTERY pulsating peice of art, but in reality I know it's chipped and cracked, and dose'nt always RADIATE the love of Christ, and I'm so AMAZED that He keeps pouring out blessing after BLESSING upon me, even before I can open my lips to say thank you, it's very humbelling. And it gives me so much JOY that these blessings aren't mine to keep, but that they flow out onto each and everyone of you!
For those of you that have been on this journey with me and know my story, I just want to say THANK YOU, for standing by me, supporting me,BELEIVING in me,letting me cry without shame,and just loving me.
For those of you who are new in my life and we are just starting this journey, welcome, WELCOME,welcome! AND I'm so excited for the ones we will pick up on the way! There is something INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL on the horizon for all of us!

THE BEAUTIFUL TRUTH OF ME (of YOU)
Are you BROKEN INSIDE?

Why all this pain? Endless circles of self-doubt, shame,guilt.
If you are like me, sometimes life feels like your lost in this maddness that no one can see, much less understand. And if someone could see, would we let them? Or would you wear a mask and pretend?
Are you ready?
Ready to dispell the lies? REVEAL the truth of who you are? What you were specifically created for?
Ready to let go of the shame,that dosen't own you? Shed the guilt that's to heavy to keep carrying?
Ready to chisel away all the masks you wear, one by one?
Embark on this journey with me and DISCOVER THE BEAUTIFUL TRUTH OF WHO YOU REALLY ARE!
This is designed to be an 8 week class for myself and 4 other women.
We will be using ART as a way of HEALING, and finding FREEDOM, from the chains of our past and the wounds that haven't yet healed.
REDEMPTION is waiting.
We will be meeting Monday mornings for 2 hours starting OCTOBER 8th thru NOVEMBER 28th. Choose from 1 of 2 class times. 9am-11am or 11:45am-1:45pm.

MIXED MEDIA
RE-CREATING a beautiful bracelet or necklace from broken peices. As a reminder that just because we are broken we are still beautiful, when we have the courage to move forward and heal, we are still beautiful, and more RADIANT than ever before!
SUPPLIES:
Most all supplies are included, paints,found objects,glitter,canvas boards,paper,collage items,mod podge,and more!!
You will need a book for your journal because this is something very personal, book can be a blank page book or an old book. This is what I use, because the colors come through! Possibly some pictures of your self or anything else you may want.
Fee $200.00 ($25.00 per class)
Can be paid weekly if needed.
This is meant to be FUN!! In a safe place, without judgement or fear.
I beleive WONDERFUL things happen in a group of women when we gather to talk, have coffee and create! You don't have to be an artist, just willing to pick up the brush and make the first stroke of color. There are no mistakes, only new ideas!

30 days of sequins
IT'S all about the sparkel!! Glitter, Sequins, and everything that SHIMMERS!!!!
We have 20 feet of green sequins fluttering in the wind! Lot's of EXCITEMENT all over the salon! We are busy, busy, busy!!!
This month is going to fly by, and I don;t want you to miss out on a thing!!
We have launched the NEW ALTERED EGO VIP CARD!!!!! Every month receive a service 1/2 price!!! And SAVE 5% on ALL RETAIL !!!!! HURRY in because they are only on sale untill the end of September!! This months 1/2 price service is THE KERATIN SMOOTHING TREATMENT!!!
The most EXCITING news is we are changing so many lives for so many people!!! It wouldn't be possibly without all of you!!!
We are actively involved with THE BEACON HOUSE Family Support , once a month the residents come to the salon for FREE shampoo, cuts and blowouts, and enjoy a DELICIOUS meal provided by one of you and your generosity!! also we do fundraisers and other FUN things to offer support!!
With you help we were able to purchases the biggest bag of rice for an orphanage of disabled children in a village in Liberia!!
Currently we have been receiving donations alongside my church Fellowship, for a woman and her 4 children who are on the verge of losing evrything. Life seems to be snowballing out of controll, in need of basic living neccessaties,clothes,food,diapers. all the things I take for granted everyday. Yesterday I had the privelage of driving to her home, with my car overflowing with all of your KINDNESS!!! Thank you!! this is going to be the begining of something AMAZING for her and her family!
So many individual stories of people and circumstances that seem impossible and hopeless we are seeing and being apart of this journey of HOPE, REDEMPTION and HEALING.!!!! But not without many tears thats for sure! My heart has has laughed alongside so many but also has wept along twice as many.
This is the reason, the why, why I do what I do. The salon is about so much more than being just another beauty salon in the town. It is ALTERED EGO Discovering the beautiful truth of you.
So in discovering the beautiful truth of me I've decided to wear SEQUINS every day for the next 30 days! What do I think I will discover? Seems silly , maybe shallow, but it will be fun! Who knows what I will discover about myself. This I know for sure, my life is a gift, I feel like Ive won the lottery in life,I could of been born anywhere at anytime, in a slum in a 3rd world country, to a drug addict on the street, or 100 years ago, or 100 years from now. But for whatever reason God has chosen to place me here, at this time, in this place for a reason, and as I am discovering this beautiful truth of me i am going to CELEBRATE!!!!!

How we can change someones world
YEAH!!!!!! The grand opening was a HUGE success!!! Thank you to all of you who came and CELEBRATED with us, thank you to everyone who reposted our blog, and the event and shared it with their friends!!!! Without all of you none of this would of happedned!!!
We all had a lot of FUN, ate way to many DELICIOUS goodies, and Jamie made us the most mouth watering decadent cake pops!!! Lots of LAUGHTER, great conversation, and just a WONDERFUL day!
We gave away a ton of PRIZES, FREE GIFTS, and lots of stuff!!
So what's next?
Well we have GREAT plans!!!
My heart is being rung out like a sponge, there is such a need in our world and in our community. I know I can not change the world but I can change the world for one person, and that is what matters to me.
So this is why I do the things I do, make the plans I make, dream the dreams I dream and run my buisness the way I do. The salon to me is not just a salon, but a place where restoration of our hearts takes place.
So here we go!!!!
Last week I posted up an email on Facebook about some disabled orphans who hadn't eaten in days and you all responded with overpouring LOVE!!! and we collected about 30 bucks to buy the biggest bag of rice!!!! thank you!!
Now we are building a relationship with The Beacon House, a shelter here in Eau Claire serving famailies who are homeless, they can stay for 30 days while they find a place to live and put back together the peices of their lives.
We raised $98.50 for them at the grand opening!!! Thank you!!!!
Tonight was the first night we had the residents to the salon for complimentary haircuts and a meal. Every month we will serve them at the salon. I know that if I was in that situation a nice relaxing shampoo massage, a new haircut and beautiful blowout would make me feel so much better and restore a bit of dignity and self worth.
Last but not least art classes will be starting in a few weeks, watch for the postings on the blog and on Facebook!
Thank you for being a part of something bigger than me, bigger than all of us! This journey is an exciting one and I'm so HAPPY you are all a part of it!!!

Lots of creative, unique handmade jewlery, and I have a littel boutique in the art room for the next 2 weeks untill we start classes so come and check it out!!!

This is ths NAKED TRUTH!!!!
This is the blog where I post embarrassing photos of myself without makeup, to watch the progression of my age spots dissapear using AVEDAS ENBRIGTENMENT, This is week 4, I did not post week 3 photos so I will post them both here.
This is my experience so far.
I do see a gradual fadding of them. My skin feels great and I love the way the product feels on my skin and it dosen't take very much. The first week I used too much serum, one full pump was too much, so half a pump is all you need.
But the one negative I have experienced is I have really broken out. I have had problems with acne since I was 10 years old, so I have always used skin care for acne, but as I have gotten older I have needed to use anti-aging produts, who knew you cobeeuld get a pimple inside of a wrinkle!! So then I have been using acne products during the day and the anti-aging line at night and that seemed to work. Using the AVEDA EMBRIGHTENMENT both night and day, I see why I was having breakouts.
This week I have been using both the acne and the embrigtenment and it's clearing up and my spots are still fading. I think it's a great combination.
Here are the photos from the last 2 weeks,half way through my 8 week experiement. Can't wait to see them in 4 weeks from know!

It's Monday and this is the 411!!!!
What a great and successful week we had, thank you everyone!!!!
I did so many fresh lemon pedicures my hands hurt, I'm suprised I have any skin left!!!!
Special is running untill the end of the month so make your appointment early while I still have hands!!! Only $35!!
I'm just LOVING this beautiful weather!!! Today was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I enjoyed the morning out on my porch with a good friend, nothing like fresh homemade bluberry pancakes, rosemary eggs , fresh coffee and great conversation.
Tonight I see that I sunburned my face while outside, so tommorrow I'll be using AVEDAs MOISTURE TINT because it has an SPF of 15 and will give me a sheer coverage while protecting my skin.

The NAKED Truth
Okay so I am 1 week in, and it only took me half of the week to get over the fact that I posted pictures of my naked face with a close up of my 'age spots' on facebook! So here we go again!
First off I want to talk about the product AVEDA ENBRIGHTENMENT

I really like the way the cleanser feels on my skin, it's a thicker cream consistensy, glides on nice and smooth, my skin feels really clean afterwards, not tight like some cleansers.
Toner feels nice, a thicker lotion. Does not tingel, just feels nice, maybe soothing.
Serum is the 3rd step. I always use way too much, you don't need but a drop.
Last step is the moisturizer, I am using the cream, and love it! Just a littel bit goes along way.
I don't see a major difference yet, but it's only been a week.

411 with a scoop of Starbucks!!
Where in the world did this Monday go??? I have completely lost track of time!!
Usually I'm enjoying a nice hot cup of deliciousness, aka coffe a nice shade of beige, while I do this blog post. But since it's 10 at night, I'm enjoying a tiny littel dish of Starbucks Coffee ice cream instead!!
OK here's the 411 for the week!
Everyone is LOVING the $35 LEMON SUGAR PEDICURES!!!! We will be offering them all month, but sadly the samples are almost gone! I can't seem to find anymore of the littel plastic containers, but I'll keep looking!
Yes we are still making FRESH SQUEEZED LEMONADE as well! Sugar free of course, just a hint of Stevia and tonight I served it with FRESH PINEAPPLE SAGE leaves!!! YUMMY!!!!!
We will be running some kind of fun littel something on friday, I'll be putting it up on Facebook when I know what it is!!
My weekend was absolutely AMAZING!! I went to the cities and took a class by an artist Jeff Hirsch,on encaustic wax art. This is an ancient art form, painting with hot beeswax and irons. I even got to use a littel blow torch!! I made some really unique and beautiful peices, I will have them on display at the salon this week for a short while.I'm EXCITED to share them with all of you! So of course just as you guessed it, it is definately my new obsession!!!
I have been working all day at my house in my littel art studio making space for my new encaustics, and am planning having some BEAUTIFUL PEICES for SALE by the end of June.
So first I need to make 1000 nekclaces and get those sold because that has been my last obsession and wouldn't you know I just placed a huge order online and have a million and one beautiful beads and so forth sitting in my studio!!!
Just a littel side note, summer is just around the corner and I plan on taking a few weekends and some time during the weeks off to spend with my girls and my huney and off course to have a giant yard sale! So please continue to pre-book your appointments with flexability!!!If you know of an important date, and you need me for sure, please do contact me at the salon or message me and I will get back to you, I don't mind scheduling around your special events!!

This is a very bold and daring blog/experiement for me! It may not seem like it for some, but for me it makes me a littel nervous!
Very few ever see me without my makeup on, not even at the pool! Im not sure if it's because of pride or embarresment. I don't have disfiguring scars or burns or horrible acne.
Maybe it's a control issue. I can always create the look I want , no matter what, like a mask, dose'nt matter what or how I feel inside, the outside is always smiling with pretty pink lip gloss.
I do think it's fun, and I love feeling girlie, but I shouldn't have to feel like I can never be seen without.
So all of this being said for this reason. AVEDA has a skin care line called ENBRIGHTENMENT http://www.aveda.com/products/5234/Collections/EnbrightenmentTM/index.tmpl I posted the link to view all the products .
Basically it claims to REDUCE THE APPEARANCE OF DARK SPOTS BY 34% in 8 WEEKS, when using the system. I have a few beige/brown spots on my face, my complexion is slightly red in the T-Zone area, I also have a few lines, between my eyebrows, the dreaded elevens, and a line on the left side of my mouth by my lip, also I have occasional breakouts. Previuos to this week i had been using acne products by day and anti-aging by night, incorporating the 5 step mini- chemical peel I do at the salon.
I self photographed my face at the salon last week without my make-up on to show the discolorations and will each week for the 8 weeks to see the difference the product claims to make. What do they say? The truth is in the pudding?? Well let's find out!
I will say I do like the way the prduct feels on my face and it dosen't take very much, the first few times I could of cleansed and moisturized down to my knees!! A littel does go along way!

its mothers day, like it or not
Mother's Day is literally just around the corner. This is usually a very fun day, lot's of flowers, laughter, cards, and time spent together over lunch, reminsicing over childhood memories.It seems every where you go it's all about celebrating the wonderful woman in your life, who gave birth to you, or raised you or mentored you.
But for some of us, this day is a painful reminder of what we are missing in our lives. Through broken relationships, abandoment, missunderstandings and sadly even death.
Iv'e never seen a card that expresses those sentiments 'thanks for not being there' or 'why did you leave'.
I am fortunate enough to still have my Mom alive, but saddly we don't have that wonderful relationship that I so envy when I see other Moms come into the salon with their daughters, lauging and making plans for shopping and seeing a movie or even going for dinner.
It may never be and I have to accept that. Maybe that is why I go overboard with my own girls, filling that need I have in a reverse kind of way, I just want them to always know that no matter what I will always love them more than anything in the world. I'm sure they may need therapy later on in life because of it!!
I want all girls, woman, mothers, grandaughters, grandmas, aunts, etc to feel love on this Mothers Day, no matter what the cicrcumstances of relationship are.
Remember these truths

~You have a PURPOSE
that you were designed uniquely for

Wow!! It's Monday allready!!!! How quickly the weekend races by!!!

This week has been wonderful so far!!! Its almost the weekend. I can't beleive it!!!!

My life is a beautiful flower
All cuddeled up in my favorite cozy blanket with a warm coffee,ahhh life is good. No it's more than good it's beautiful. I hear the wind wipping around and a train off in the distance, I could stay here all day. I don't know why but I love the sound of the train.
It's the simple littel parts of life that I have come to love.
If I was to paint one object to represent my thoughts it would be a flower, like the ones we drew as kids, all the petals one by one each a different color. Each petal simple, delicate, beautiful. Alone it's simple, a subtle scented unique petal, alll together it's full of fragrance bursting with life, swaying in the breeze,almost like a dance. Supported by this littel stem, what no one sees is the roots below that anchor this delicate creation and give it life. The flower can be plucked and for a time forgotten but the roots are strong and give way to life again.
Funny as it sounds I see myself as this flower, each petal representing a friendship, a story, an afternoon at the bookstore, a picnic, an afternoon flying a kite, so many beautiful simple memories. Happy and dancing in the wind while the birds fly singing their beautiful song, one pluck and for a time life seems disrupted, unfair. What no one sees though, my roots are planted firm and deep and life emerges again, this time, stronger with an even greater appreciation for the beautiful life I have been given.
In the last few months I have been given the blessing of reconecting with old friends and old clients, meeting new people and new friendships. Friends become family, clients become friends. Kindness,laughter,compassion, become the watering source.
I want to be that watering source in the field of flowers around me.To flourish along side this beautiful vibrant rolling hillside!
This is my year to grow.To share.To enjoy the simple beauty all around.
The salon is the perfect place for me, I have the privelage of meeting so many and enjoying the day with so many. What a blessing to truly love the place I go everyday. I have said for so long I did not do this to buy myself a job, yes it's a buisness, but it's definately run in a completely different way.Because when my flower has been picked for the final time here, my gravestone will not say ' i wish my sales were up another 20%' and it will not say ' I'm sorry I didn't have the time for you" I want it to say something on the lines of ' she loved me the most' or 'she truly lived to love', I don't know exactly but I'm trying to live mylife with a view to the end,not in a morbid sense but in a way of awareness.
So as corny as it may sound, I just want tot see you smile and walk out of my salon with something a littel extra that you may not have had when you walked in, a littel hope if your situation seems hopeless, a littel happiness if you are overwhelmed, a littel rest if you are exhausted, and a place to share your joy and a place where we can share a laugh and a fresh cup of coffee, and of course you will leave with a fabulous new hairdo!!!

Better late tthan never!
Better late than never, is a phrase I have often used as an excuse for not getting stuff done! It seems like life has been traveling at mock speed! Faster than I can keep up with, then CRASH it comes to an abrupt stop.
I an behind on our weekly blog, the take 5 question, the weekly poll,the laundry and who knows what else, the list seems to go on and on!
As many of you know I have been really sick on and off for about 3 weeks now. It has been pretty rough on me, my family and my buisness. I think the hardest part is not knowing what the problem is, but I go in friday for an upper GI test, I am hoping to finally resolve all this, get on a treatment plan and regain my life back after the test.
so that is my excuse for falling behind in so many things.
I always have all these big ideas, I admit I am not great at follow through but i was doing pretty good for awhile.
So For know I am going to post 1 promo for the month instead of our weekly promos. And just say thank you to all of you and your support, patience, and undersatnding.

Do you want thicker fuller hair? Do I really need to ask?
WOW! did you know that over 30 million woman suffer from thinning hair? I think the stat on really fine hair is 3 out of 5!! That's ALOT more than I realized!
I have ALWAYS had fine hair, but I could grow it long, then after I had my first baby girl, Angelica, 16 years ago, it kinda just stopped growing and got alot more finer. Oddly my nails quit growing also. You would think my hips wouldv'e quit growing too!! But no such luck!!!
I always have outgrowth from my color it seems so I wonder where the heck is my hair? Does it disintagrate as it grows? I never color the ends just the roots. So many years of hair extensions and clip in hair. I LOVE wearing them, they make me feel PRETTY. When I had them taken out I litterally felt like I was having a part of my body amputated! It may seem like a DRASTIC comparisson, but that's me!
So now I'm trying a littel experiement. AVEDA INVATII. 3 easy steps. shampoo, condition, scalp spray, Apply spray 2x a day. Im supposed to see a DRAMATIC improvement in 4 weeks!
I keep forgetting to use the spray on the days I don't wash though, but starting today, IM COMMITTED!!!!
For those of you who know me, come see me in 4 weeks and tell me if you notice a difference, if not back to extensions!

I have ALWAYS had fine hair, but I could grow it long, then after I had my first baby girl, Angelica, 16 years ago, it kinda just stopped growing and got alot more finer. Oddly my nails quit growing also. You would think my hips wouldv'e quit growing too!! But no such luck!!!
I always have outgrowth from my color it seems so I wonder where the heck is my hair? Does it disintagrate as it grows? I never color the ends just the roots. So many years of hair extensions and clip in hair. I LOVE wearing them, they make me feel PRETTY. When I had them taken out I litterally felt like I was having a part of my body amputated! It may seem like a DRASTIC comparisson, but that's me!

months ago on my other blog TODAY I WILL REJOICE I had been bloging about really wanting to feel the needs and hurts of others, for God to open not only my eyes but my heart to the others around me. WHY? I don't know. I think maybe I had been so wrapped up in my own life and enjoying all the goodness and blessings (there is nothing wrong with that) but I think i lost site of what is important in my life(besides my family) , the REAL NEEDS of others. It's one thing to say you care and throw a littel money to a charity and another to actually FEEL it and be COMPELLED and DRIVEN BY LOVE to help. I can't tell you how mant times I think about her story and it makes me cry, almost everytime I tell someone about the baskett it brings me to tears. I say this not to say look at me, im so good and caring. but to be real and honest. god has really been working in my heart and I have been very emotional lately!
I think this will mark our FIRST ANNUAL EASTER BASKETT for someone with a hurt, to show how people pull together and support one another OUT OF NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR THE HUMAN SPIRIT, with nothing ever expected in return except to show KINDNESS and HOPE and hopefully a SMILE NOT ONLY ON THEIR FACE BUT FROM WITHIN THEIR HEART! Even if it only takes their pain away for but a moment, that's oneless moment they feel empty and burdeoned.

The 411. It's Monday again!!!!!
It's not monday, but it's monday for me! I have off sun/mon!! But this week I had off fri-mon!!! And I'm really but it's time for mondays 411!!! weather it's your monday or mine!!!!!
Let's see if I can do this on 2 hours of sleep, self inflicted, lost track of time. I was'nt at some crazy wild party trying to relive my youth listening to Deff Leopard or anything, I was at my old house(which is for sale by owner)upstairs in my art studio. Time was definately overdue!! Didn't get done there till 330am!!! I created 2 very interesting pieces for a class I am in. 1st was my self created identity, who I see me as, who I was, the lies I beleived, 2nd was my God created identity and how He sees me. Two very different very neat ideas. I think I'll hang them in my office as a reminder. Reminder that life goes by too quickly to not walk in the truth!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!!! This is a tear jerking story, except it's not a story it's someones life they are living right now and I desperatley need all of your help and the help of your friends and family please! It's not about me, but it has shook me to the very core, my heart is broken over this, myself and my family have prayed many nights at bedtime and around the diner table for this woman that we have never met.
I have come in contact over the last month with many people at work with clients and friends,at church, in my family that are carring heavy burdeons and deep deep wounds, some that will leave scars forever not only in there life but on my own heart as well, I have never in my life had so many stories in arms reach invade my life like this past month, and I have never prayed as much either.
Her name is loni, Iv'e never met her. I think she is 32 years old. She has 2 beautiful boys, I saw a picture of them, they are 1 and 3. They lived in Madison untill November when through a tragecic set of events her husband died, leaving her alone with her children. She works for the State DOT, and transferred to Eau Claire early this year in my husband Matts old building.
He went to his old office for a meeting and his friend told him of this woman Loni and what happened to her, the next part of the story is she was only working there for 3 weeks when out for a walk she couldn't breathe, an ambulance was called, after test were run, she was transfered to mayo i think. She was diagnosed with something very rare, a heart tumor/cancer that is a sarcoma.
She needs to have a miracle.
Not just a littel miracle but a giant one, like when Moses in the old Testament was leading people out of slavery and they ended up at the Red Sea and God told him to raise his hands over the Sea and the waters parted and they were all led to safety. Then when the bad guys were crossing the
Sea,God had the Sea go back and they all drowned.
So in the meantime of praying for this huge Red Sea miracle, I was thinking of her and what she must feel like, what are her thoughts, what would she want to do and not want to do.
What if it was me? What do I like? what do I cherish?
I truly cherish building memories, taking photos, laughing, my family, helping others by being kind, generosity. I don't like paying for gas, or buying toilet paper and I hate paying bills! Who dosen't? Then I thought if I had to drive to get chemo I would be even more upset to buy the gas to go to an appoinmtent that I didn't want, that wasn't fair.
I want to give her all those things,but I need your help, I can't heal her heart, only God and the Doctors can do that. But we can bring her joy with her family.
I want to make a gift card basket with gift cards to the gas station, the grocery store,movie theater ticketts, the childrens theater, the state theater,local restraunts,department stores, kohls so she can buy a pretty new shirt and not feel guilty with the heaping medical bills piling on her and her family, starbucks, the portrait studio for easter pictures for the boys, im donating many of these items, I plan also on going to some stores and asking for gift card donations, and an putting in a weekly pedicure with me at my salon.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I am so blessed to celebrate 37 years of healthy living,cancer free, free of sickness and disease. I never worry when I go to bed at night if I will see tomorows sunrise or watch my kids grow up,this reminds me of how precious and how extremely fragile life really is and today and tomorrow I will embrace this life and not let the worries of this world come upon me because "this is the day the lord has made and i will rejoice and be glad in it" psalm 118

Becky's baby girl is doing GREAT!!! I still haven't met her yet, sad face, but her pictures are so ADORABLE!!!! We all miss Becky and the life she brings to us and the salon, April won't get her fast enough I think!!!!! But so HAPPY she has this WONDERFUL time with her new family!!!
Please continue to keep our SWEET Mary in your thoughts and prayers and continue to pray for her Mom who is more than her Mother but her friend as well. This is very sad for all of us, her Mom is a wonderful lady.Lets show Mary some love, I know she'd be delighted and very touched with encouraging words, and who dosen't love flowers?!? Its almost March and I allready have Spring Fever!!!! What about you? Everything is new and fresh and all I want to do is go SHOPPING!!!!! Not for FUN high heals though (insert sad face with tears), because I hurt my leg/back/pelvis and have more pinched nerves than I care to count! So i'm finally walking without a major limp, but am still doomed to flat shoes!! But I am enjoing all the massages I have to get!

time flies!
Good morning!! I hope you all are having a FABULOUS hair day!!!
Another exciting week has gone by and this ones almost done!! Where does the time go? I guess they are right when they say "Time flies when your having fun"!
And FUN we are having! What a JOY and a BLESSING to have a 'job' like this! I almost feel guilty for getting paid some days!hahaha
CONGRATULATIONS are in order for our Mrs Becky!!! She had her first baby , it's a girl!!!!! She is such a littel doll, I can't wait to kiss those litte cheeks of hers!!
We are planning some very FUN and EXCITING events at the salon! So I know this month will be over before we know it!!
We are having an open house from 6-8 on Wed Feb 29th called The Red Carpet blowout event. This evening is $10.00 and you will receive a mini preview of the keratin complex treatment, tons of prizes, giveaways, and the GRAND PRIZE package is valued at almost$500!!! WOW!!!! Get the 411 !!!!!!! the good and the bad!!
Monday is coming to a close and a new day is around the corner!
Even though the salon was closed today we were as busy as bumbelbees!!!
A huge THANK YOU to Penny and her mom!!!! They spent the entire day wallpapering the bathroom, funny how my projects always take longer than thought! Example, " Honey . I'm starting a new salon, we can demo it and remodel it over the weekend, it won't cost you a dime or go into the week!" Penny i think we can do this in an hour!!
Well now the bathroom is not just clean but it's pretty too!!
Putting together shelves, that I have to take apart, sigh, I put the legs on backwards. Well I'm not a carpentar that's for sure, good thing I have my day job!
New pictures and art will be going up tomorrow! Lots and lots of fun stuff!
Tomorrow we will be announcing this weeks salon promo, from the question poll we posted on facebook.
Well in life and in buisness we always have good news and bad news. I'll share both with you. First the bad so we can conclude on a hgappy note!
I was the victim of a scam. How I fell into it, i'm not quit sure, so if you here of a man named Sean Davis or the Sean Davis Group, do not support his cause! He is lying about a local fundraiser for a walk/run benefit for children with Leukimia. I'm praying I get my money back and so will the other people.
Good news is I'm pretty sure we will be serving freshly dipped chocolate strawberries all day tomorrow, and the rest of the week, along with white chocolate mocha coffee, yummy!
And so I've saved the BESt for last!!! My sweet sweet friend Becky, you know her from the salon, well she and her husband are now the proud new parents of a 5 pound baby girl with black curly hair!!! This is so exciting! Be sure to send her congrats on our Altered Ego facebook page, I'm sure she will love it! Also keep her in your thoughts and prayers the next few days, she is a month early, she's doing great, but you can never have too many well wishes!!

I love LOVE! I love LOVE stories, I LOVE making littel cards and LOVE notes and slipping them into my girls lunch boxes and in there pillow cases! I LOVE hiding littel notes randomly in my husbands car or his checkbook or in his pocketts! And of course I always say something witty, usually Im the only one laughing! Example, a note inside the coffe pot, I LOVE the way you perk me up! In the wallett, I LOVE spending time with you! On the lamp, you light up my life! On the dashboard of the car, you drive me wild! Corny I know! But I just LOVE laughing and creating memories!
Im not a complete sap, I can be serious when needed! So we are offering some LOVELY Valentines for all of you that we LOVE so much!!
Freshly brewed coffee ( my absolute favorite!) Delicious hot tea from AVEDA, it's better than coffe I admit, but I also confess, Im a caffenine aholic! So I am saving the tea for you!

Beautiful Day
Good morning!! What a BEAUTIFUL day!!
The air is crisp and slightly chilly as I wheel the garbage can and recylcling out from the garage this morning, my eyes are still heavy and I'm in my bathrobe trying to hurry before anyone sees me at the end of the driveway in all my glory! PERFECT! Not a soul around, so back up the driveway for round two, dragging down a massive pile of broken down boxes, it's like clock work, every garage door on the street opens and all the neigbors are driving by, waving of course! Being polite I wave back and my robe falls open to expose my mismatched, not what I want my neigbors to see me in pajamas and tennis shoes! My hair I'm told by husband looks like David Bowe in the morning! hopefully they don't know Im a hairstylist yet is what pops into my mind!
Ever have those crazy mornings? It makes the rest of the day so much more beautiful for sure!
Today is just that BEAUTIFUL! Even in the midst of all the WONDERFUL things happening around me and all the BLESSINGS falling into my life there seems to be circumstances out of my control. Choices I didn't make but affect me.
My life seems to be like the pile of cardboard before me.. Some of the edges are rough and tattered. Some of the boxes are neaty folded down and some are stomped on to make fit into the bin.Each box has a story, held something, something big or small and triveal, but non the less it had a purpose. I think of all the things in my life. The good , the sad, the unknowing, the hurt, the healing. My life has been tattered. im looking pretty rough right now! Iv'e folded parts of my life into neat littel boxes and i've been stopmed on to fit in a place where I shouldn't of been. I'm drawn to the cereal box, it's flat,colorful and can be put back together. Ive been put back together countless times! I have a purpose. Even with the frayed edges I still have a purpose.
I can choose to stand strong and BREATHE in those beautiful MOMENTS or I can choose to walk down a path of fear and saddness, and lose sight of the BEAUTY before me.
I choose to EMBRACE the BEAUTY of today! I choose to LIVE in LOVE!! I chose to remain FAITHFUL, I know that God gives and He takes away, for reasons I can not explain. Does this make it easy? No. Does it make sense? No.But there is HOPE! Without hope where would we be?
How is your day? Are you walking a difficult road? Are you embracing the beauty of the journey?
It's going to be ok. Breathe. Regain your focus and and take a step. sometimes one step is enough, we don't have to run.
You have a purpose. It dosen't matter if your life has been a littel tattered or is rough or if it's been stomped on and flatened out. You still have a purpose.
That's enough for me sometimes, just the first step.And remebering I do have purpose, even in the midst of lifes challenges.
Now my next step is for the coffee pot and off to the shower, I'd like to spare you the David Bowe hairstyle when you stop in to the salon!

The air is crisp and slightly chilly as I wheel the garbage can and recylcling out from the garage this morning, my eyes are still heavy and I'm in my bathrobe trying to hurry before anyone sees me at the end of the driveway in all my glory! PERFECT! Not a soul around, so back up the driveway for round two, dragging down a massive pile of broken down boxes, it's like clock work, every garage door on the street opens and all the neigbors are driving by, waving of course! Being polite I wave back and my robe falls open to expose my mismatched, not what I want my neigbors to see me in pajamas and tennis shoes! My hair I'm told by husband looks like David Bowe in the morning! hopefully they don't know Im a hairstylist yet is what pops into my mind!
Ever have those crazy mornings? It makes the rest of the day so much more beautiful for sure!

Here's a littel BEHIND the SCENES!!!!
This weeek when you come into the salon, I hope you LOVE how clean and super SHINEY the floor is! We have had a hard time getting it PERFECTED! Matt has actually handscraped it 2 times this week! We were there untill after 1am tuesday night, then back at 6am!!! Whew.... Hopefully after tonights final coat of wax and polish it will be perfect!
So please wear your sunglasses when you come in!!!! It may be highly REFLECTIVE!!!
